Who We Are
Croydon Community Mediation (CCM) is a community-based, voluntary charity that has been helping people in Croydon for over 20 years.
Originally part of Croydon Council’s Housing Department, CCM became an independent charity in 2000. We are still funded by Croydon Council. The office is run by Pam Flouch, the Service Manager, and Sandy Shepherd, the Casework Co-ordinator.
Everyone else is a volunteer, be they mediators, Board members or helpers in the office. Our mediators are highly trained and are very good at what they do: CCM is very well-regarded in the community. Oversight of the charity is by a Board of Trustees, some of whom are also volunteer mediators. They meet every two months.
CCM is one of the founder members of The London Community Mediation Council.
What We Do
CCM sees conflict as an opportunity to challenge perceptions, question beliefs and change attitudes.
We mainly deal with neighbour disputes. We offer a professional and effective mediation service for neighbourhood problems, facilitate the mediation process and offer a neutral place to meet.
